How I get rid of staining that builds up on all menstrual cups over time?

We asked to our Femmecup advisor, Julie, and she Asked:

There is no recommended method to get rid of staining that builds up on all menstrual cups over time. However, sterilising in boiling water and brushing with a soft brush (such as toothbrush) may help a lot.

This staining does not affect the functionality of Femmecup in any way.

We do not recommend using rubbing alcohol, bleach or any other harmful chemicals to remove staining.

TYPES ALUM DEODORANT

On the market there are 2 types of rock alum deodorant marketed as:

- 100% natural stone

- a stone that is obtained through a chemical process from ammonium salt synthesis.

What are the differences and why we like more natural?

1. Natural stone is long lasting (depending on size, but usually one year), the synthetic lasts a few months.

2. The Alum salt based synthetic (Ammonia) must be notified as Ammonium Alum and aluminum that can be set up in the skin, so it is best avoided.

3. The composition of a natural deodorant stone is Potasium Alum, and contains no chemicals added, is just as occurs in nature.

You see, at first sight is easy to confuse, so you have to read the ingredients, composition, and if necessary, ask!
